Dr. Jaclyn Duenas graduated from University of Western States Chiropractic College in 2013. She did her undergraduate education at Eastern Washington University. In addition to the general requirements she seeks out continuing education with an emphasis on soft tissue therapy and exercise. She has taken the functional movement screening (FMS) course, Graston therapy course, active release technique for upper extremity and spine, instrument assisted soft tissue therapy technique using functional movements to determine necessary treatment, a course on kinesiology taping and most recently just finished her corrective exercise practitioner examination (CEP).
Utilizing all the information she has acquired throughout the years she is able to alter the way she treats patients based on their needs. She strongly believes that in order to affect the spine and nervous system in the long term you must address any muscular adhesions, spasms, trigger points or altered kinetic chain imbalances. Her background allows her to create an effective treatment plan for each individual person.
In Dr. Jaclyn's spare time she loves hiking, kayaking when it's warm, skiing when its cold, rock climbing, mountain biking and playing with her animals. She is also a member of the BNI Burien chapter, participates in community events such as local health fairs and the Burien farmers market during the summer.
